Cartridge World Continues to Invest in Solution-based Technology

How much paper does the average office worker use? According to research from InfoTrends, a single employee working in the office on a daily basis prints upwards of 8,840 pages every year.
Not only is that a significant amount of paper, but it also translates into roughly 15 printer cartridges per month. The Houston Chronicle explains that cost per page for black-and-white printing on the best printers will run at 1 to 2.5 cents per page. However, color printing will cost your company roughly 13.5 cents per page.
When you do the math, your business is looking at nearly $9,000 per year – at best – in printing costs for ink alone. At worst, your organization could spend in excess of $100,000 on printing in both color and ink pages. Either way, these expenses can have a massive toll on your business’s bottom line.
It’s with this in mind that Cartridge World has developed solutions to answer major pain points for business owners.
Solutions to Improve Business Efficiency
A major driver of unnecessary expenses is inefficiency. When your employees are printing pages without clear insight into ink and toner levels, you’re putting business efficiency at risk. On one hand, you aren’t able to track how frequently you need to reorder ink and toner.
As a result, there’s no way of knowing when printing capabilities will halt and important documents that staff may need to mail, have signed or use in a presentation are unavailable. At the same time, keeping on top of printer maintenance is an equally vexing business challenge that has major repercussions on efficiency.
In an effort to solve these issues for business owners, Cartridge World developed the CW Print Manager™ App. This tool enables business customers to get alerts sent to them in the event that ink and/or toner is running low or if a printer is in need of maintenance. The app is a free download for Cartridge World business customers and is a key component of the service that Cartridge World franchisees provide to their clients—when the app sends the alert, a local certified service engineer helps the customer solve their printing issues within 48 hours.
Part of a Larger Scope of Services
The CW Print Manager™ App is symptomatic of the overall direction that Cartridge World is headed in providing solutions aligned with customers’ needs. More recently, Cartridge World announced its partnership with Samsung to develop an innovative mobile printing app that gives the growing mobile workforce access to true, secure “on-the-print” technology.
PrintWorld™, powered by Samsung, provides more than 96 million mobile and remote workers around the world the ability to print and scan documents from their smartphones, tablets or laptops when they’re away from the office. This affirms Cartridge World’s role as a strategic partner for business owners who want to create and sustain efficient, productive business operations.
