Tax-Free Shopping Holiday

Thursday, July 25, 2013

Cartridge World products are among the many items customers won’t be charged sales tax on during several tax holidays in August. The promotion is especially helpful for back-to-school purchases.

In eight states, printers and/or printing cartridges are considered exempt from state taxes. Many local counties and cities also will eliminate taxes on the products during these days. States with tax holidays in August include Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Missouri, New Mexico, North Carolina and South Carolina.

With more than 1,400 stores globally, Cartridge World is the world’s leading specialty retailer of ink and toner printer cartridges.

“Cartridge World’s eco-friendly printer cartridges cost about 30 percent less than new cartridges. Getting them tax-free makes buying from Cartridge World even more of a deal,” said Tom McLaughlin, marketing director at Cartridge World. “Customers who purchase during the tax holiday will be getting a high-quality product backed by our 100-percent guarantee.”

In states with tax holidays, there is no limit on the number of items a customer can purchase tax-free. This means multiple cartridges can be purchased as part of the tax holiday promotions. To qualify, purchases must be made for personal use only.
