Let’s face it, being away from the comforts of home for any length of can be an annoyance. But traveling for business across the country, or globe, can be downright maddening!

Following these simple steps below can turn any long haul into your own personal joy ride!
Step 1: What’s in Your Wallet?
If you are traveling more than 5 times per year, you should have credit cards that offer you reward’s points and SkyMiles just for using them! American Express and Delta have been partnered for years; offering customers perks like lounge stays in almost every major airport, worldwide. These exclusive locations cut down on travel stress, and cater to long distance travelers.
Step 2: Packing Lite
Think small. Pack small. Pack before your trip. Stick to the basics and necessities for your clothes, and bring some kind of mobile device (laptop, etc) that can store a ton of data.
Step 3: The Flight
Always spring for business class. The perks of more legroom, fewer distractions, more meal and drink options, and ports to charge devices, more than makes up for the costs. Plus, you’ve got those earned miles right? If you can’t make it to business class, be sure to bring your own blanket and a great pair of noise cancelling headphones.
Step 4: The Local Culture
Once you get there, ask your client for information on the best “off the beaten path” locales, and get the real experience. Barring that, find an upscale hotel and contact their concierge. They’ll open a whole new world for you!
